With the 9/11 stories going around, here’s one from a priest who was praying outside of an abortion clinic near the Towers at the time of the attack. He later ended up at ground zero. Here’s what happened to him there:

As I prayed the rosary, I closed my eyes and with my eyes closed, I suddenly saw the people in the Tower getting ready for work at 9 a.m. Some were getting a drink of water, others a cup of coffee, all feeling safe and secure inside their office. Then I saw the terrorist plane breaking into their secure quarters and exploding like a great bomb with the people in the office having no place to hide, no place to flee. Then still standing at midnight at Ground Zero, I saw not the people in the Towers, but I saw a womb with an unborn child inside, feeling so safe and secure and suddenly breaking through the wall of the womb was this terrorist object, the instrument of the abortionist, with the child having no place to hide, no place to flee from this terrorist instrument.

Ugh, I’m sorry I have a lot wrong with this. Those were not fetuses, those were people. The two are just not comparable at all. To dehumanize them to that level is wrong. 

They had families and feelings and dreams and to use them for your ‘cause’ is just disgusting. I mean, come on. Those people knew what was happening, they were aware of it and could think about it and feel about it… you can’t say the same about a fetus. 

Shit like this just ruins my day.

 I don’t understand how people cannot tell the difference. These people suffered, they died and they survived but they knew what was going on and they hurt. Those that died probably had friends and families who mourned them, and missed them, and lost someone so valuable to them. The world lost people, people who like fuckyeahchoice said, had feelings, and could love and care and sympathise and occupied a space in the world and when they were gone, they left people behind because they mattered a lot. These were actual, sentient, autonomous beings which could hurt and be hurt, and it was horrible what happened to them because they knew it - they could feel fear. How can you compare a foetus to that? How can you compare an abortionist to a terrorist? A terrorist inflicts pain and suffering on others. They hurt people. A trained, legal abortionist is helping a pregnant person to become unpregnant.
